Signals on Home (illustrative): news on the broker’s accounts from InsightPulse, dated and attributed — a safety citation on a contractor flagged for a look.

A renewal is not only a placement problem. The open claim that is still developing, the news about the client, the quote letters, the policy that eventually arrives from the carrier — each comes from somewhere else in a broker’s day. InsightPlacement is one of the Insight broker products, built on the same platform, so these hand-offs are designed in rather than re-keyed.

What is live and what is designed

In the current release, InsightPulse company profiles and news are read when a Pulse endpoint is configured (an illustrative stand-in answers otherwise); InsightAdvocate prepares its loss brief for the placement team as a recorded dry run; quote letters are read by a deterministic stand-in for InsightXtract. The diagram below shows the intended flow; ask us what is connected in your deployment.

InsightAdvocate: the loss story for the renewal

InsightAdvocate is the broker’s claims-advocacy workbench. Its loss-trend analyst reads a client’s loss runs by policy year — frequency, severity, the loss ratio, the last three years against the two before — and, when the client renews within 120 days, prepares a brief for the placement team: the loss story to tell the markets. An open claim the advocates are fighting is exactly what an underwriter will ask about; the placement team should hear it from the claims team first, with the figures. See insightadvocate.com.

In InsightPlacement, the same loss runs land in the Readiness zone: five years per line, the largest loss, the loss ratio against the expiring premium, and an open-claim note from the readiness agent (“have the claim’s status and the remediation ready for the underwriter”).

InsightPulse: the company, dated

The submission’s applicant section and the readiness findings carry the client’s company profile and news from InsightPulse, each dated and attributed (“Pulse (illustrative): company profile, as of 2026-10-01”). The submission builder flags news an underwriter will ask about — on the demo book, an illustrative safety citation at a contractor’s job site — so the account team can address it before the market does. Home shows Pulse signals on the accounts you own or follow.

InsightXtract: quote letters as data

Quote letters are documents; the comparison needs rows. In production InsightXtract reads each letter into the quote’s fields with a confidence and page for each; in the demo, a deterministic reader does the same job on a simple letter format. Either way the quote extractor prepares the quotes for a person to confirm, and a missing field is shown as missing.

InsightProofing: checking what was bound

The bind order is checked against the selected quotes before it is ordered. When the policy arrives, the next question is whether it matches what was bound — limits, retentions, forms, endorsements. That is InsightProofing’s job: the broker’s policy-checking workbench. The selected quotes and the bind order are what it checks against.

InsightUW and InsightCW: the carrier side

Carriers that run InsightUW receive submissions into an underwriting workbench built on the same platform, and InsightCW is its claims counterpart. The broker products do not depend on them — a submission is a document any carrier can read — but the shared platform means the same decision-record and grounding guarantees on both sides of the trade.
